Family Portraits: The Wilsons

Family Session | Arnold Arboretum, Boston

This family wanted family photos with a lot of fall color and the timing could not have been more perfect because this was probably as close to the peak for the leaves as we were going to get. I love the many yellows, oranges and reds that create the perfect backdrop for this beautiful family.

Their daughter loved exploring the grounds, playing in the leaves, running along with her mom and jumping rock to rock with her dad. It was such a sweet dynamic to observe and capture. You could tell their daughter has an independent spirit as she would head out for her own moment of adventure as we made our way through the gardens, but then she would also cuddle into the crook of her dad's neck, an obvious place of comfort and assurance. It is watching these family interactions that make my job so rewarding because I always feel so honored to be invited into the intimacy that is the love of family.
I hope everyone gets to enjoy this last bit of fall while it is still here.
