Family Portraits: The Blakes

A Family Session | Raleigh, North Carolina

My niece is such a joy to be around and you can tell she has both her parents wrapped around her adorable little finger. I was able to get down to Raleigh this summer for a visit and work in a portrait session with my sister's sweet family downtown where her husband works. We were nervous about impending rains, but thankfully the skies held out for us to spend some time walking around as I captured the three of them together. It's amazing how much my niece has grown since our last session a few months prior when they were all up our way for Memorial Day weekend in New England. She gets cuter and cuter by the day and I love getting to document her little personality as it blossoms.

Family Portraits: A New Home

A Family Session | Raleigh, North Carolina

While I miss these friends every week, since we used to get together weekly for small group Bible study, I am so thankful that they moved to the same city that my sister moved to because that means I get to visit them when I'm down to see my family. This home is beautiful and warm inside and out and the Albrights are so happy to bless others like myself with their hospitality. We've had the pleasure of staying with them a few times now and it's such a joy to see them enjoying their new home and their thankfulness for what God has given them in a new home within which to raise their family and create beautiful memories. I loved getting to capture a few moments of them in their new surroundings, especially enjoying that beautiful front porch!

I can't wait for our next chance to visit friends!

Family Portraits: The Taylors

A Family Session | Beacon Hill

It's not every day I get to photograph a family of grown children, but I hope this is a growing trend.  Just like documenting marriage not only through engagement and wedding photos but through anniversary sessions, I believe it's a treasure to document your family in every season of life.

I so enjoyed working with the Taylor family as everyone had a lot of fun together. It was like a mini reunion of the brothers as one is a young professional locally, one is training to become an Navy pilot, and the third is at college in Maine. Being a mother of two boys myself, I felt like I was given a glimpse into the future when my boys are grown seeing the Taylor guys goof around and chat with each other. I hope you enjoy these portraits captured around the Beacon Hill neighborhood in Boston.
